Understand the evidence
Read the source note with each story. Published partner reports, Boundless management reports and participant accounts are different kinds of evidence; they are not interchangeable.
Distinguish cumulative training totals from a specific cohort. Installed infrastructure capacity is not the same as measured daily output or the number of people benefiting.
Proposed projects and targets are not completed outcomes. An individual employment story does not establish a programme-wide placement or absorption rate.
Before a new engagement, agree the indicators, participant or beneficiary definitions, reporting period, evidence responsibilities and reporting schedule. Ask for the source and denominator behind any percentage.
Unless a source explicitly states otherwise, management-reported information should not be treated as independently audited impact. Recognition, grant awards and tax incentives remain subject to their applicable requirements.
Tell us which entity, programme or funding arrangement you are reviewing.
